Red Velvet Cake


Cake flour – 2.5 cup (1 cup cake flour =2 tbsp. corn flour +  maida)

Cocoa Powder – 2 tbsp.

Salt – 1/2 tsp

Baking powder = 1 tsp

Red color = 2 tsp

Butter = 1/2 cup in room temp.

castor sugar = 1 1/2 cup (powdered sugar)

Vanilla essence = 1 tsp

Egg = 2 nos

Butter milk = 1 cup


1. Add all the dry ingredients and sieve together.

2.Beat butter until soft.

3.Add castor sugar to this little by little and best until it become light.

4.Then add vanilla essence and combine.

5.Add eggs one at a time and beat till the yellow color disappears.

6.Pour butter milk to this and mix well.

7.Add  some cake flour  mix it then add some color then flour then color…..

8.Add some milk to loosen the batter.

9.Now add the final ingredient

1 tsp vinegar and 1 tsp baking soda mix it together then add to the batter.Mix throughly with a spatula.

Dust the cake tinand add the batter to this .Bake @180 degree celcious for 35-40 minutes.
